For more than 33 years LPIE has been supporting Lafayette’s public schools to ensure students always receive an education rich in science, math, music, art, technology, foreign language, electives and humanities. LPIE also provide funding for support services such as instructional aides, counseling, professional development, and more. Working with the Lafayette and Acalanes school districts, they identify areas for investment in core academics and enrichment, supporting programs and efforts that might otherwise go unfunded.

Moraga Education Foundation (MEF) is a nonprofit organization that funds programs in Moraga schools. These programs benefit the students attending Camino Pablo, Donald L. Rheem and Los Perales Elementary Schools, and Joaquin Moraga Intermediate School in the Moraga School District and Campolindo High School in the Acalanes Union High School District. MEF’s goal is to support and enrich the educational experience of all Moraga school children in kindergarten through twelfth grade (including students from Lafayette who attend Campolindo).

APR $10.5 Billion Sold in 2013

Alain Pinel Realtors (APR) had a record year in 2013 with closed sales volume of $10.5 billion, a 19% increase over their sales in 2012, despite constrained inventory. Additionally, four individual APR offices – Los Altos, Los Gatos, Menlo Park, and Palo Alto – all had over $1 billion in closed sales in 2013.

APR outperformed the market in both number of sales and dollar volume. While in the Bay Area, the industry average number of closed sales was down 5%, APR surpassed the market by 14%, with 9,107 closed sales, up 9% over their 2012 numbers. In addition to increasing their market share, the firm also achieved an average sales price of $1,151,940, up 9% over 2012.

The 2013 numbers come on top of the firm’s other successes last year, having been ranked the fifth largest residential real estate firm in the United States for a second consecutive year based on 2012 sales volume, according to REAL Trends. The firm had a closed sales volume of $8.8 billion in 2012, a 23% increase over their sales in 2011.

New Wilder Development in Orinda ~ Private Open House

 

Many of you have asked us what the new Wilder development is like, what the style of houses are, have any sold, what are the price ranges?

Wilder is a new neighborhood development nestled in a small valley in Orinda with a resort-type environment. It has it’s own exit off of the freeway between the tunnel and the Orinda exit. It will feature 245 home sites. The homes prices start at $1,500,000 although the majority of homes will be priced at $2,000,000+. We have been up there for a tour and it is actually quite special. The clubhouse, state-of-the-art competitive swimming facility and recreation center with fitness area have been completed. Five community playfields are also completed and are just awaiting the City’s okay to open. Only three homes have been built and two of them are available to be viewed (the 3rd has sold and is the first home to be purchased in the Wilder neighborhood).
